Where can I find copies of previous scan logs? (Business Edition 4.x)


  • This article applies to ESET Business Edition products version 4.x, which are currently in Basic Support status.


ESET Smart Security Business Edition and ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition keep logs of all previous scans that have been run on your computer. These scan logs are useful in determining whether previous threats have been successfully cleaned or deleted. To locate the scan logs, follow the steps below:

  1. Open ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus. How do I open my ESET product?
  2. To switch to Advanced Mode, click Change... in the lower left corner of the window or press CTRL + M on your keyboard.
  3. Click ToolsLog Files from the main menu.
  4. Select On-demand computer scan from the Log drop-down menu.
  5. Your previous scans will be displayed. Make sure that the status shows Completed.


    If you need to submit a scan log to Technical Support for analysis, please continue to step 6 below.

  6. Double-click the line representing the most recently completed scan to open the scan log. In the Log window, right-click any entry and select Copy all.

  7. Open a blank Notepad document and press Ctrl + V on your keyboard to paste the copied text. Save the .txt document to your Desktop and attach it to an email reply to ESET Technical Support. Technical Support will examine the scan log and respond as soon as possible with the recommended steps to address your issue.
